The gap between software and strategy
Most partners only do one. We deliver the entire lifecycle.
We started KY & Company after watching the same gap open up on healthcare and social impact projects, again and again. Technology vendors built polished software without understanding the clinical rigor or the on-the-ground reality of running a program. Consulting firms designed strong strategies, then handed clients a generic, off-the-shelf tool that couldn’t execute the vision.
We build the engine and drive the car.
To close that gap, we stopped separating the software from the service. Our teams design the platform, write the code, and then run the day-to-day operations that platform depends on, so the strategy and the execution never drift apart. That is the model behind Pati™, our patient support platform, and AwardScience™, our award and grant management platform: proprietary technology, backed by the people who use it every day on our clients’ behalf.

How we operate
Whether we’re supporting a rare disease patient’s journey or running a public-sector modernization program, three principles guide the work.
Data protection isn’t a feature here. It’s a mandate.
- Healthcare & Life Sciences. We handle highly sensitive protected health information, so our systems are built HIPAA-ready and reviewed for clinical rigor before they reach a patient.
- Social Impact & NGO. We manage sensitive beneficiary data and grant funding, so our platforms, including AwardScience™, are built to SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards with GDPR-compliant data handling.
- Government & Public Sector. The same access controls and audit trails carry over, because public-sector data deserves the same discipline as clinical or donor data.
Software is the engine. People steer it.
- An app can’t replace the empathy of a nurse educating a patient, so our managed services team supplies virtual and field educators alongside the Pati™ platform.
- An algorithm can’t replace the judgment of a grant review panel or run a fundraising gala, so our event managers and consultants work alongside your foundation’s own team, not instead of it.
